ROMAN THEATRE

C/ de San Magí 1

This was the first building dedicated to leisure. It was built in the first century A.D. and intended to be a theatre, for both comedy and tragedy. The building could hold 8500 people. It was the most appreciated and frequented building in the village, located near the port area and the market. Part of the remains found here are now in the Archaeological Museum. Only part of the walls are still standing.
