It is one of the most beautiful vantage points of the city. Here the Rambla Nova begins. The balcony is also a meeting point for the locals. Located 42 metres above sea level, its railing was designed by Ramon Salas and forged by Joan Miquel Guinart. After the Tarragona inhabitants "ramblear" (translation: walking through an area of boulevards called “ramblas”) they go to "tocar ferro" (to touch iron). In 1542, when King Charles I saw this place, he said it was the most beautiful sea view of all his states. If we stand facing it, we will see the port and beaches on the right. Following our tour, we continue along the Paseo de las Palmeras (the palm tree avenue), one of the busiest in the summer due to its welcome shades. It is definitely a very pleasant walk.
